Licensors
Licensing is how great research reaches the market. As a licensor, Ventura IP grants companies the right to use the patented wireless, video and AI technologies in our portfolio, which sit inside products used every day: smartphones, TVs and streaming devices, PCs, connected cars and the networks that link them together.
Many of these technologies are built into global standards such as 5G and Wi-Fi, or into video standards such as HEVC and VVC. Standards give manufacturers a common foundation, lowering barriers to entry and making sure devices work together wherever they are used.
When companies take a license from us, they gain clear and predictable access to the innovations inside their products. In turn, licensing revenue supports further research and rewards the inventors whose work made those products possible, sustaining a cycle of innovation that benefits the whole industry.
